Elements of design – Floristry

All that is created on earth has the elements of design, whether it is man made or made by nature. The elements create emotional responses within us. When designers use the elements and principles to create order within a display they are evoking an emotional response whether it be controlled or a bi product of their creation. What you see is what you feel. The role of a florist is to pass on an emotion or feeling from one person to another using flowers. Therefore understanding these emotions being conveyed by the flowers is paramount.
