Yvette Timmins, Founder of MyBlooms & Bloom College
Welcome to MyBlooms, a safe space for aspiring hobby flower arrangers to learn more about the craft and the beautiful flowers they work with. If you have been following along the Bloom journey, you’ll know that I successfully created and ran Bloom College, a floristry school, for the last ten years. As a career florist myself, it brought me so much joy to help teach a new generation of florists, but for the last few years there’s been a little niggle in the back of my mind. With more people joining Bloom College’s beginner courses as a way to get into flower arranging as a hobby, I knew I wanted to create something specific for this group.
This is where the idea for MyBlooms began. MyBlooms is for the hobby florists. For those with little to no experience arranging flowers, who aren’t necessarily looking to turn it into a business, but want to play with flowers for the joy of it. I’ve always believe that the positive energy of flowers is food for our souls, and this is the vision behind MyBlooms. To bring more positive change to your life as your arrange flowers.
MyBlooms features courses, toolkits, books, and blogs, all tailored to those at the very beginning of their flower journey.
It’s my sincere hope that what you find here helps to enrich your soul as you begin to play with your own blooms.

Yes, you can absolutely skip the design tutorials and just watch & learn what you require. Please keep in mind, the course content is released over 12 weeks so you won’t receive all the content at once, it is designed to take you from the basics of floristry & business through to more complex design techniques and business strategies, building your business up to succeed.
Hint: We recommend using the foundational skills and design tutorials for training your staff, even friends and family who might be helpers!
The content does not have an expiry date and is always available for you in your online membership area, so there’s no rush. We suggest dedicating approximately 3-4 hours per week to study.
To ensure we can deliver this course to you regardless of your location, we have removed a large cost of the course content by not supplying you with the flowers required to create each design that is taught. The added benefits of not supplying and charging you the cost of the flowers allows you to go at your own pace, meaning you can decide to create each design when you choose. On top of that, you get to choose a variety of colours of flowers to your own liking and taste. We highly recommend buying what’s in season within your region. You are better able to achieve this by sourcing your own materials. Knowing how and what to buy and who to buy from are all part of the early course content.
