How to dry Oranges for Christmas flower decorating

  1. Pre-heat the oven at 100 degrees celsius
  2. Slice your oranges into 3 and put aside the ends
  3. Place the slices onto baking paper
  4. Sift or sprinkle caster sugar over the slices
  5. Place the slices onto an oven rack
  6. Leave for 1.5 hours then turn each one
  7. Leave for another 1.5 hours
  8. Then turn up the heat to 110 degrees for 20-30 mins
  9. You may choose to discard the ends or alternatively slice off the peal and dry it out to use in your baking, Christmas drinks or decorating.

Tip: watch the oranges closely for the last 20-30 mins as some ovens vary and depending on the thickness of the slices some may burn.
